On behalf of the Coosa Valley Fair Association and the Exchange Club of Rome, I am thrilled to be a part of this year’s 63rd Annual Coosa Valley Fair. I would like to personally invite each and every one of you to join me October 4-8 to be a part of the “Fall’s Finest Festival.”

The word “Fair” inspires a twinkle in every kid’s eye and brings out the inner child in adults young and old. Even with your eyes closed, the smells are familiar and easily identified: The cotton candy, corn dogs, candied apples and popcorn. When you open your eyes, you catch a glimpse of something shiny and sparkly as you pass by one of our more than 30 rides.

Toss into the kettle of activity a bit of nostalgia – such as a blacksmith demonstrating his fine craftsman-ship or the woodsy smell of sawdust and sounds of livestock at the cattle barn — these bring delight to every little boy and girl.

I cordially invite you to enjoy the Brian Staples Animal Encounters Show, take a walk through one of our many exhibit areas, and experience one of the exciting events such as the cheerleading spirit event, pageantry or battle of the bands featured in our special events area. And last, but not least, to test your skills there are more than 20 fun-filled games for the youngest to oldest to enjoy by providing good old fashion family fun.

Proceeds from the Coosa Valley Fair help support many local charities including the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Your attendance allows us to help our community by returning monies to the many charities we contribute to. We appreciate your continued support and look for-ward to seeing you at the fair!
